Business "takes off" :: An Update from the field
We are a part of a business that distributes handmade scarves to shop owners in the marketplace. The sale of these handmade scarves provides poor families with stable employment that allows them to send their children to school, have a shelter over their head, and have food on the table. Universal Needs :: A Story from the field
I Each week as I travel to teach, I pray that the Lord would open up opportunities to share with those that are searching. It did not take long for the Lord to point out His purposes for me there. A co-worker named Jack quickly became a friend of mine, and every time I stopped in we would talk about life.

WHAT I LEARNED AT CAMP HOPE – Bryan shares his story
In 2008, my parents were taken from my brother and I by an earthquake. We were lost and we didn't know what we were going to do. The government arranged for us to go a boarding school where we would spend the summer. We were very sad to leave our friends.

I Am an "M"
We are called to be Christ's ambassadors in places that are often difficult. I live with my family in a country where it is illegal to be a missionary - where I am forbidden to proselytize. Sure, my phone is tapped and my family lives under the pressure of knowing we are often being watched. My husband tried to decline, politely explaining, "Christmas is a special day that we spend with our families. We are preparing Christmas dinner." Bill replied, "Well, just eat it quickly and let's go."

SHORT TERM MINISTRY, LONG TERM IMPACT
James, Rebecca and their team of 8 came from Alberta this summer to participate in the 2008 Olympic initiative that ASI has been coordinating since 2007. Unlike many other short term missions endeavors that were set during that time, the teams that were set to present Olympic based English curriculum to universities, English training centers and kids summer camps continued in spite of heightened security and increased mandatory "deportations" of missionaries and missions agencies.

Where do I belong?
He was a young man studying Business English at a prestigious university in Southeast Asia. He had his goals, his ambitions, and his dreams before him. Yet there was a longing deep inside his heart. Something within cried out, "Where do I belong? What is my purpose for being on this earth?".
